Chemical Kids And Mechanical Brides Pierce The Veil
this song seems to be about someone losing the love of their life, and if they could get this person back, they would give it all. "...All for you, you alone, raise my hands at the thought of you leaving me alone"

A Match Into Water Pierce The Veil
the amazing thing about this song is that, even though it was obviously written about vic's friend, it can be interpreted into many other things. you can see it as the way it was supposed to be or by the way i saw it before i knew what it was about: a girl dealing with self harm, depression, etc and vic begging god to bring the "old" girl back, the one before all of the depression.

(Don't Fear) The Reaper Pierce The Veil
I think this song is basically saying not to fear death or the end, and to take risks as the reaper is usually a symbol of death. The reference of Romeo and Juliet is saying how they embraced death and now will be forever together. At first I thought the last verse was describing the balcony scene in Romeo & Juliet but now I'm not so sure, it almost sounds like suicide.;

One Hundred Sleepless Nights Pierce The Veil
The first verse is basically self explanatory, but the chorus (But I don't see your face, Taken by the one-hearted race home now, But don't tell your other man, I got a hell of a plan. Failing lights, A mass one hundred sleepless nights, And I might be holding on too tight. But there is a beast in my heart and. He won't let you leave alive.) The guy is planning to kill his ex GF's new BF, and the failing lights are police sirens and amass one hundred sleepless nights is him in jail for one hundred nights and he cant sleep. And no matter how much he gets in trouble he's gonna kill the new guy in his ex's life.
Hell Above Pierce The Veil
This is obviously about the torment that VIC faces at home, the conflict between his parents and within himself, hostility is being forced upon him, not necessarily through words but the act of nothingness. They do not gesture him with love-( 'The consequence is if I leave I'm alone, but what's the difference when you beg for love?') . He emphasis's the breakdown of his former life, his only retreat 'a wasteland', the demonic necessity in his words is ironic as a majority of teens fall helpless to suicide and self harm...'Don't let me fall' .
Falling Asleep On a Stranger Pierce The Veil
This song is about how she left him and now to try and get over her he is just sleeping with pretty much anyone he meets, he knows he will get hurt if he goes back with her but he still wants her, but he is smart enough to just leave it be and not put himself through the hurt again, she is suffocating him with words that he wanted to hear before "pull the note out of my throat" but he doesn't want to hear it because he knows better than to be with her

Yeah Boy And Doll Face Pierce The Veil
well i think this song is about a boy and a girl, who were obviously inlove at a time, but something happened, they broke up, and later, the boy realizes he still loves this girl, but than he finds out, the relationship doesn't mean anything to her anymore, and he's doubting if it really meant anything to her in the first place.
but thats my opinion.
I also think it's about a relationship going wrong, and the girl leaves him.
He doesn't even know who she is anymore, after all whats happened. He tries to kill himself by cutting; 'How do you know how deep to go before it's real?" The beginning is pretty self explanatory. The whole song is about the bittersweet feelings he has for this girl, how he will still lover her no matter what happens and what she does.

Suicide Season Bring Me The Horizon
I have a feeling this is going to be wierd but, this is one of the most powerful song I have ever heard, and probably ever will. It really hits home. This is what I think.
"We stare at broken clocks, the hands don't turn anymore"
This might be referring to someone that has passed on, and their heart doesn't beat anymore.
"The day you lost him, I slowly lost you too
For when he died, he took a part of you"
When someone loses someone that meant alot to them, they might get sent into depression or become "anti social". This may have happened, and the person that has been affected the most may have became more introverted.
"No time for farewells, no chances for goodbyes
No explanations, no fucking reasons why
I watched it eat you up, pieces fallen on the floor"
Sudden death, suicide. The title explains it all.
I think this verse is speaking directly to/about the person that commited suicide. There was no note, explanation or warning that this was going to happen. Oli knew that there was something wrong, and whatever it was, it took over the persons life.
"If only sorrow could build a staircase, our tears would show the way
I would climb my way to Heaven, and bring him back home again"
This is showing the sorrow that Oli has for the unfortunate person who has lost someone. He wants to bring this person back, just to have a friend back. He wants to feel normal. He wants to believe that his sorrow and tears could make his life the way it used to be.
"Death is only a chapter
So let's rip out the pages of yesterday
Death is only a horizon
And I'm ready for my sun... to set"
Death is a chapter in life, craved or not. He obviously wants to let the past go.
Death is a horizon, which only lasts for so long.
This is my interpretation, so its probably not true. Either way, its about suicide and knowing someone that lost a friend and is having a hard time coping with it.

Stay Away From My Friends Pierce The Veil
I really think this song is symbolic for Depression and all the illnesses that come with it. I don't agree with those who say it has any part to do with sex.
"Waking up your neighbors downstairs,
I've been inside your bedroom a thousand years.
And as you tie me to the bed for good I say
that I want you in the most unromantic way."
This part is about Depression itself. It's bothering the neighbors because maybe he can't sleep at night so he plays music. Or maybe he's tried to commit suicide and the police sirens wake them up. It's been inside his bedroom for a thousand years means he just can't get rid of it. It feels like it's always been here and he doesn't think it'll leave. The bed part is not about sex. It's about the way depression ties you to the bed. When your depressed you don't feel like getting up or doing anything so this commits you to your bed. Vic saying he wants it in the most unromantic way might sound a little messed up but it just simply means he wished it would stop leading him to the bed. I guess that does include a sexual reference but he isn't talking about it that way. He is simply staying stop keeping me in the bed (be=romantic vic wants unromantic) and let me do something. Let me be motivated.

Chelsea Smile Bring Me The Horizon
Depending on how you interpret Pray for Plagues it all basically comes down to Oli knowing a whore and how it messed up her life. If you look closely he uses some of the same words.
Before Oli says, "Eradicate this disease" he says "Christ I'm asking you for just one thing." That one thing would be to help the whore he knows.
In Chelsea Smile when he says, "I look up to the sky, there may be nothing there to see. But if I don't believe in Him, why would He believe in me?" I believe it's from the girls point of view and her internal conflict with God and His existence and/or His love for her.
Furthermore, when Oli says, "I may look happy, but honestly dear, the only way I'll really smile is if you cut me ear to ear. I see the vultures, they watch me bleed, they lick their lips as all the shame spills out of me." I think the girl is saying how she regrets her actions so much it's almost impossible to make her smile/happy. I think the vultures he talks about are men who see she's filled with shame and see her as an easy target to be taken advantage of. "They lick their lips, as all the shame spills out of me." Maybe the girl is venting her problems to a man and all he sees is an easy target as he licks his lips.
Sorry if I wasn't clear on anything but I really love this song and thought I'd throw this out. I don't know if it's correct but I'd love to read more interpretations.

Hold On Til May Pierce The Veil
I believe this song is about suicide. I realize this sounds rather negative, but I really think this song is uplifting and beautiful. It's not simply about death, its about fighting to keep someone you love alive. It's about doing all you can to make someone believe that they will be okay and have to keep fighting. In specific the connection between these two people seems to be romantic. The girl is the one who is committing suicide, and the boy is trying to save her. That's just how the song is written, so that's how I'll explain it in further context, but it really can be interpreted vice versa, or it can be a family member, friend, etc. trying to save a loved one.
Blink 182 All The Small Things
This song was written for Tom Delonge's wife Jennifer Jenkins, she complained that he always wrote songs about other girls, so he wrote this one for her. He was worried it would be really shit and she would be annoyed so he kept telling her that it was really terrible but turned out to be a hit! And for the lyrics "she left me roses by the stairs" is actually true, when Delonge was working late Jenkins left him roses on top of the stairs

Oli Sykes Lead Vocalist for Bring Me The Horizon Bio
Oli Sykes early life: Oliver Sykes was born 20 November 1986 in Ashford, Kent, England. As a baby, he moved to Australia with his parents, Ian and Carol Sykes, moving between Adelaide and Perth during a period of about six years. The family returned to the United Kingdom when Sykes was about eight, settling in Stocksbridge in Sheffield, South Yorkshire. As a teenager, he attended Stocksbridge High School.
In 2003, while still in school, he began crafting compilation CDs and short tracks under the name Quakebeat. He also played in the mock hip-hop band "Womb 2 Da Tomb" with his brother Tom Sykes and fellow Bring Me the Horizon member Matt Nicholls, and in metal band "Purple Curto" with Neil Whiteley, as the drummer/vocalist under the pseudonym "Olisaurus", which he would later use when releasing solo material.
His Personal life: Since the age of 12, Sykes has suffered from a form of night terrors known as Sleep Paralysis, which is the inability to move during sleep.
Sykes became a vegetarian in 2003 after watching a documentary about animal cruelty online, "When I saw how animals are tortured on factory farms, I couldn't justify being a part of that cruelty." He went on to become one of the faces for PETA, eventually designing charity T-shirts with the slogan "Meat Sucks" via his Drop Dead clothing line. He later became a vegan in 2013. Sykes has been quoted as saying he is an atheist, "I don't believe in God. I was asked to believe in him when I was in this bad place. I couldn't understand why I needed a god or, in my opinion, something that doesn't exist."
After receiving the Album of the Year award at the first Alternative Press Music Awards in 2014, Sykes revealed a history of addiction and abuse of the drug Ketamine. Addressing the crowd, he said "My band wanted to kill me, my parents wanted to kill me, my fucking brother wanted to kill me," and also admitted, "I went to rehab for a month, and you guys were sending me texts and e-mails. When I got out of that rehab, I didn't want to scream anymore, I wanted to sing from the fucking rooftops."
On 12 July 2015 in Tuscany, Italy, Sykes married model and tattoo artist Hannah Pixie Snowdon.
Hospital For Souls Bring Me The Horizon
The thing i like about his songs is that he uses his life ,, he puts his feelings into his songs ,, but that people can really take the songs and interpret it into their own lives i never ever felt so much emotions in songs as when i heard oliis music ... if you listen to this song it could be about love because he says no matter how fucked you get its always there when you come back down (meaning you know when you try to drown your sadness of being dumbed with geting high or drinking till you so pissed ? now wat hes tryna say is that hes obviously been with a girl ,, and she doesnt like the dark side of him ,, or his drug addiction so she told him to go to a shrink but he does this cuz he loves her and he doesnt want to lose her ,, but i think she alredy left him ,,and he says all he ever wanted he already had because he was happy with her and ya now hes tryna fight for her so hes goin to a shrink and a mental house or rehab
Antivist Bring Me The Horizon
I think this song is about society and how screwed up it is. We think we live in a perfect world, but there are traitors everywhere, and the people who think they are rebels, but do nothing other than sitting by their computer screen, have to spring into action, but they're going to lose the battle anyway

Follow You Bring Me The Hoizon
It could be about a person who isn't good for you. You really love him/her but at the same time he/she doesn't care a bit about you.
But since Oli said most songs of this album are about his addiction I this this 'person' is just a metaphor for the drugs.

Crooked Young Bring Me The Horizon
This song is a direct criticism of the 12 step program to treat addiction. "Just a dozen steps and 28 days". For those not familiar with the 12 steps, the main pillar of the program is accepting god as your savior in various forms and admitting that you are powerless without him. This song is basically saying that there are some of us who have support in other places like friends and family and not in the "faceless" (god). As another user already pointed out, the parts about praising jesus are pure sarcasm.
Happy Song Bring Me The Horizon
Throne Bring Me The Horizon
Tomorrow I will come back leader of the whole pack" line.I think he was raised by wolves but decided one day he wanted to become an ordinary person so left the woods to become a member of society. It is about the difficulties of fitting in with modern society after being raised in the woods by wolves your entire life.

Halfway Gone Lifehouse
I think this song is about his partner who is with him and says she loves him (This is the 'talk is cheap... give my a word you can keep), but she wont really completely commit.
She's always wondering if there is something out there that's better and she's trying to decide if she wants to stay with him. He's telling her not to take too long figuring it out, because even though he loves her he's ready to leave her if she doesn't really want him enough. He's getting tired of it and even though he hasn't left her yet, he's already mentally and emotionally preparing himself for this eventuality. Thus, he is already halfway gone.

You And Me Lifehouse
I think this song is about a guy who is in love with a girl who is maybe a little out of his league, but he's still in love with her. He's also a little afraid to tell her. Anyway, this is an amazing song.
"Everything she does is beautiful,
Everything she does is right"
This lyrics just blow me away. It's probably because I feel they show someone that is deeply in love because if you love someone deeply, you don't want to or can't see wrong in them.

I Write Sins Not Tragedies Panic! At The Disco
I think the song is about people talking behind your back, and you know it. The Bride Maid is suppose to be the Bride's friend, usually a close friend but here she is saying she's a whore and tell that to a random waiter. I really don't think it has anything to do with marriage really, that could be a metaphor -I think it's about people you thought you could trust lie and talk behind your back and you just have to deal with it, drink it down ["pour the champagne"] and just get over it. It's about how he reacts which is telling them "Haven't you people ever heard of closing a goddamn door?" while he knows you should act like you never heard it, react with a mature look on the situation.

This Is Gospel Panic! at the Disco
I think it is about how Spencer was bottling up everything about his addiction, to the point where he was falling apart. However the reason he was bottling it up was also, ultimately, so he wouldn't look as though he had fallen apart in front of the people he loves and who cares about him.
The scene with the doctors links with the whole part of prescription drugs and what he was taking. Almost as if the Doctors were holding him back from getting the drugs, but in the end, they gave up and prescribed them (when Brendon was sedated).
The scene with the coffin could also be to suggest he knew his fate if he continued, but also that because of him bottling his emotions and secrets up, he was drowning. And the fact that Brendon was still wearing his converse highlights that he was comfortable in that outfit; they are casual. Demonstrating that Spencer felt comfortable knowing nobody knew about his secret even if it was tearing him apart from the inside out.
Then the scene with the splashing water and ropes can demonstrate his 'coming to terms' with his problems and trying to break free. The ropes could be a personification of himself trying to hold him back; to get back to the comfort of the secret and the drugs locked away inside of him 'till death do us part' (the coffin). However he managed to break free, therefore portraying his decision to receive help and announce it to fans.

It Ends Tonight The All American Rejects
I think this song is about life not a relationship, or a relationship with life if u will. The subtleites of life strangle you but you can't really explain how. Constantly being made to worry about your needs "all i don't want to need at all". The walls are breathing your foundations are being shaken your mind is unweaving. Maybe you need to be alone to figure this out. Then you start to see it and the weight is lifted in this moment you give the final blow. You have to stand up and say it. When the darkness of control and manipulation turn to the light of self-awarness it ends tonight. But will a little insight make this right or is it too late to fight?

Dirty Little Secret The All American Rejects
I guess this song could be perceived in different ways, because when I heard the song by itself, I thought I knew what it meant. But when I watched the video (with all the people holding up cards with their "secrets"), I realized it was more literal than it was figurative, if that was the way writers Tyson and Nick wanted the song to be interpreted.
In general, this song is all about the title: his dirty little secret. Which is, if you look at the lyrics, his not really liking his girlfriend at all, but he's probably too afraid/lazy to tell her.

Gives You Hell The All American Rejects
The first single from The All-American Rejects third album, frontman Tyson Ritter said in a track-by-track interview before the album was released that the song was about a single person, but he later explained to MTV News: "It's kind of this tongue-in-cheek way of looking at someone you hate, whether it's your mom, for some reason, or it's your teacher at school, or it's your boss at work. It's just someone who makes you struggle, and it's giving them the finger."
Ritter and Rejects guitarist Nick Wheeler write all of their songs, and when they wrote this one, they each had a steady girlfriend, so the lyrics were not personal. The song became a huge hit, but Tyson went into a downward spiral - both he and Nick lost their girlfriends and it was a while before they were productive again. Talking about getting it together to write for their next album, Kids In The Street,Wheeler told us: "Ty was still coming down off the whole 'Gives You Hell' ride, and we both moved to Los Angeles. He got mixed in with the bad crowd and kind of thought he was on top of the world - thought he was bulletproof and all that."
Their song "Beekeeper's Daughter" finds Ritter reflecting on this time when he was a jackass but didn't care.

Pierce The Veil Million Dollar Houses (The Painter)
The song revolves around the singer's parents and how they lost their house; Fuentes has said the song was written as a gift to them. "It describes how they never let money tear them apart over the years even though they struggled to support us," he told LittleRockerMedia. The song, like much of Fuentes work, shifts between poetic imagery and stark declarations.

Pierce The Veil Bulls In The Bronx
The song is written from the perspective of a nameless narrator and describes her efforts to find love and beauty in a world that seems intent on denying her both. The song's imagery grows steadily grim and more depressing, finally culminating in a tragic conclusion. Vic keeps the lyrics imprecise and universal, so that this could be any sad and lost person, not necessarily the girl who inspired it.

Bring Me The Horizon And The Snakes Start To Sing
The song sounds like it's all an illusion with the instrumental part and how the guy just sings where it's like your in an empty room listening to it, making the music echo into your ears, it's like it's the only thing on in the room, and having the music just blare into your ears makes it even better...

Of Mice&Men Bones Exposed
This song finds Of Mice & Men frontman Austin Carlile furiously calling out keyboard warriors who attack him on the Internet. "None of us are perfect; so how can anyone judge anyone else? Those people who pull on their computers and talk crap about other people: what did you do today? What did you do to make your life memorable? What did you do to help? What gives you the right to say something about me?"

Fall Out Boy The Phoenix
The lyric, "I'll raise you like a phoenix," is a reference to the mythical bird of ancient times that burned itself to death on a pyre every 500 years and rose rejuvenated from the ashes. The phoenix was subsequently adopted as a symbol of resurrection in early Christianity

Fall Out Boy Sugar We're Going Down
This song has a hint of jealousy in it. The singer wants to be this girl's boyfriend, but he's not. "I'm just a notch in your bedpost but you're just a line in a song" indicates that he means nothing to her, and he's trying to make it seem like she means the same to him. But it's not working too well. The chorus is about their relationship failing miserably in "an earlier round" because they don't even have a relationship. "I'll be your number one with a bullet, a loaded God complex cock it and pull it" means that she might as well be killing him because he hurts so much.

Bring Me The Horizon (I Used To Make Out With) Medusa
This song is about a guy who was cheated on by his girlfriend. He calls her Medusa not because she is physically ugly but her personality is ugly. He is showing how much she hurt him but he doesn't care anymore because she was mean. He also says that every time she cheated on him he got a little more famous.

Chris Daughtry Home
I always thought of this song as someone who's been through a rough patch of some sort and are going back home to get themselves together. Even though they've hit a rough patch they're determined to stay where they are and don't want people criticizing them for it because it's their choice. Daughtry's one of my favorite artists and this is one of my favorite songs by them.

Chris Daughtry No Surprise
This song is exactly how i feel about me and my ex. She was my first love and we broke up a little over a year ago but since then we have always come back together and cant leave each other we would always go to our favorite place and lay together. everyone said we used to light up each other so much every time someone said our names the other one would just glow. we were so in love after every girl that broke my heart he was the one i went back to after the girl she dated after me he came back. and just yesterday she called everything off and part of me is relieved but im deeply hurt because this time i think he means it but theres nothing here in this heart left to borrow theres nothing left here in this soul to stay. daughtry is amazing and all of his lyrics are to die for he has the voice that will carry on
