Staind Its Been Awhile

For me, this song is both a love song and about drug addiction. I listened to it hundreds of times as my husband fought addiction. It felt like his way of saying he was sorry to me, he couldn't look at himself straight or love himself because he was so ashamed, but he just kept f***ing things up again.
This is just what it means to me - not what it actually means.
